About us
What we are: a program dedicated to providing quality music education to students who are educated at home or in a non-traditional environment. Music has been heralded as a critical aspect of a child's education, equal to reading and math in importance all the way back to the Greeks.
We offer a school band style program. Students learn the same benefits of sports: Teamwork. The entire band depends on each member doing their part at home, practicing their music as well as the scales and technical exercises to improve their skills as a musician. And as they do this, both practicing and group ensemble playing, increases the neurological development of the student.
The skills they learn are skills they will be able to use for the entirety of their lives. Musicians can play professionally or recreationally into their 80s an 90s. Far beyond the years their athlete counterparts are able to continue playing their games.
Students learn to play: woodwinds such as: flute, saxophone, oboe, bassoon, or clarinet. They learn to play brass: trumpet, trombone, baritone, tuba, and French horn.
They also learn to play percussion: including bells, marimba, timpani, bass drum, snare, cymbal, and auxiliary such as tambourine, shaker, maracas, etc. What we are not: We are NOT a rock/garage style band program. We do not utilize keyboard, drum set, or guitars. Orchestra students learn the basics of playing violin, viola, cello, and upright bass. They also learn the essential elements of teamwork. Choir students also learn how to work as a team in a group ensemble setting. They learn how to hear their parts in harmony, how to read and sing music including rhythms and note names. Elementary Music exposes students grades K through 5 to the fundamentals of music, including learning to count rhythms, play basic instruments like group percussion or recorder, music history, cultural music around the world, and integrating music and movement. <>< <>< <><

Our mission
Music has been heralded as a critical aspect of a child's education, equal to reading and math in importance all the way back to the Greeks.
Our American society has relegated music to the proverbial back seat, heralding athletics as far more important.
Music has been proven to allow a musician to develop new neural pathways, raising their IQ. The younger a student is when they start learning music, the more these neurological benefits increase.
Meaning, the younger a person is when they start learning music, the more they benefit from the development of new neural pathways and the higher their added IQ points.
Why is this? Because music has students learning to use both sides of their brains simultaneously.
Because of this critical importance that music plays in education, our goal is to ensure that EVERY student has the opportunity to receive this education.
Our goal
To provide affordable opportunities for students to learn about music in a fun and safe environment. We do not discriminate against anyone for any reason, including religious beliefs, gender, race, or worldview.
Meet our Music Educator
Virginia "Genna" Frazier
Virginia is a 2nd generation music educator. She grew up hearing music being taught from the womb, watching her mother teach hundreds of students throughout her childhood, and learning music education techniques at the feet of her mother, who is one of the most highly sought after piano teacher in Central Florida. Virginia started learning piano at the tender age of 3, and was reading music before reading the alphabet. By Kindergarten, Virginia believed the alphabet consisted of "A B C D E F G" and nothing else. Learning there was more was a shocking revelation. By 4th grade Virginia was expanding her musical skills to learning flute.
Half way through 10th grade, the state of Florida passed legislation allowing homeschooled students to enroll in classes at their local high schools, and Virginia embraced the opportunity enrolling in both band and orchestra. When Virginia entered the 11th grade, her highschool band lost their bassoonist due to school rezoning. On a dare, she learned bassoon. In 12th grade she earned a spot in the prestigious Tampa Bay Youth Orchestra initially on bassoon, but was quickly moved into principal flute and piccolo. She has performed solos with the Florida Orchestra, and was mentored by members of this prestegious orchestra. The next natural progression was to pursue a degree in music, which she did. First studying at the University of South Florida, then transferring to Oklahoma Baptist University as her military husband was transferred, and then culminating at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. She currently has 25 years experience as a music educator, and looks forward to teaching your student!
